If you ask me "What is the best DIY facemask that actually show results?" I'd say turmeric and basin mask for sure. Without any doubt this is THE BEST facemask which I have been using since i started taking my skin care seriously.
A turmeric face mask is an excellent exfoliating agent and very easy to make right at home with just a few ingredients.
With consistency, this turmeric face mask will give you glowing skin!
What is Turmeric powder?
Turmeric, traditionally known as Indian saffron (or HALDI in urdu) because of its deep yellow-orange color, has been used throughout history as a condiment and textile dye. Turmeric also provides amazing healing benefits, not just inside the body, but for your skin as well.
Advantages of using Turmeric
Turmeric, a herb used as a main ingredient in curry, can benefit your skin as a home remedy for:
Acne
Eczema
Dry skin
Wrinkles
Dark circles under the eyes.
It also reduces skin inflammation due to being high in antioxidants and slows down cell damage. As well, it can help reduce pigmentation that evens out skin tone.
Disadvantages of using Turmeric
There are no known side effects of turmeric used in skin care. Still, it’s always a good idea to do a patch test before using any new ingredient on your skin. Even plant-based products like turmeric can cause reactions in some users.
To do a patch test, you’ll want to make your turmeric mask ahead of time and then apply a small amount to your arm before using it on your face:
Wait at least a day, and if no reactions develop, it’s likely safe for you to apply the turmeric mask on your face. Don’t use the mask if any redness, swelling, or itchiness develops on your patch test. Turmeric may also stain your skin and clothing. So be very careful while using this mask.
Ingredients:
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Yogurt - 1 tablespoon
Honey - 1/2 teaspoon
Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients really well and apply the mixture evenly on your face and neck. Leave it to dry for at-least 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with tap water. Your skin may turn a little yellow due to the use of turmeric but there is nothing to worry about. Wash your face with a mild soap or a good Facewash and the yellowness will disappear.

How often should you use this mask?
Well, you can use this mask 2-3 times a week and be consistent. You'll see big difference in your skin. Your skin will literally thank you.
